Secure Printing

The Canon Printers have the ability to print securely, requiring a password to release the job. This feature will allow you to control when a confidential document prints out.

  1. Click on the File tab.
  2. Click Print.
  3. Select your Canon from the Printer drop down menu.
  4. Click the drop-down box next to Presets.
  5. Select Special Features.

  6. Click the drop-down under Job Processing.
  7. Select Secured Print.

  8. Click Print.
  9. Enter a Document Name.
  10. Select a PIN between the numbers 1 to 9999999.
  11. Click OK.

  1. Select Secure Print.

  2. Select your print job and then press Secure Print in the lower right corner.

  1. Enter the PIN you set for your document and select OK.
